Printed in five colors, the illustrations are reduction linocuts with handset wood and metal type. Letterpress printed with oil-based inks on 100% cotton Reich Savoy, each print measures 13 x 19 inches. This signed and numbered edition of 20 prints includes a description: Walruses (odobenus rosmarus) live in predominantly sex-segregated societies. Males engage in homosexual courting, affection, and sex, including diving and surfacing together, displaying their erect penises, and mounting each other in shallow water. During breeding season, males copulate with numerous females without forming pair bonds. Queer Tails is a collaboration with illustrator Audra Laymon, printer Jessica Spring, and researcher sweet pea at Springtide Press.
